The Body

The body  novel  which is written by Stephen King – one of the world's most successful writers , is an amazing novel that represents friendship . This novel is about four young boys taking a journey to find a body somewhere in the woods that is at the country line. This story is about more than just four boys going on an adventure , it's about them becoming closer to each other and learning real life lessons along the way.

Gordy , the main character ,who is the narrator and the story is seen from his point of view. his family barely talks to him ever since his brother died  And all he wanted was to have attention and love from his father. Vern is the outcast of the group who is the ridicule of their jokes, Teddy is a boy who was abused by his father and is a strange child, Chris is the tough guy of the group and the leader , his father is a drunk and his brothers are murderers
“Gordie: Do you think I'm weird?
Chris: Definitely.
Gordie: No man, seriously. Am I weird?
Chris: Yeah, but so what? Everybody's weird”

The story takes place during the summer of 1960 in the fictional town of  Castle Rock .Maine  . A boy named Ray Brower is being missed. He was hit by a train. In the town, it is wildly speculated what could have happened to the boy. In the first major scene the four boys are all in a tree house where the character Vern tells the other three boys about the missing body. As Verne ,a member of a little gang, tells his friends that he knows where the body is, Gordie  and his three friends, Chris , Teddy , and Vern set out to look for it. The boys are all convinced that going to look for the body and possibly finding it would make them all heroes and that everyone would want to know them. Thus the boys decide to go forth and try to find the body .“A great whispering noise began to rise in the woods on either side of the tracks, as if the forest had just noticed we were there and was commenting on it.”- the body

. Throughout the story each of the four boys deal with the conflict of person vs. self. They all look deep into their lives and think what they are doing both in life and in going to find a kid in their age that was hit by a train while picking blueberries. Later on, in life, Gordy looks back and thinks that friends he had when he was eleven were the best friends that he ever had and misses the old days." Feeling it, trying to understand the suns that shone on it, the rains that fell on it, and the snows that covered it. And to wonder where I was when each thing happened to it in its lonely place, where I was, what I was doing, who I was loving, how I was getting along, where I was. I’d hold it, read it, feel it... and look at my own face in whatever reflection might be left.”

this  book has got a deep thought to it. I really liked it. It talks about these four boys who are different yet they're the best of friends . Everyone of them has a really bad family yet they're strong though. “The most important things are the hardest things to say. They are things you get ashamed of, because words make them smaller. When they were in your head they were limitless; but when they come out they seem to be no bigger than normal things" – the body .

Shadow And Sun

I threw my shadow at the sun

The shadow did not eclipse the sun

The sun tore Shadow

I need Shadow back

"without me , you can't exist !"
Sun laughs at the pieses of shadow

Shadow collects his pieses and leaves to nowhere

I , the human  shall remain without a shadow nor a soul !

Sun wonders Why human beings are deniers ?!

The First Reflection

The first reflection of what I learned this week

My first week of "6B" level ,the third week of December, was really a wonderful week. I learned a lot ,alhammdullilah.
One , I learned more about globalization and its effects ,  pros and cons , purposes … which is good to know more and be knowledgeable regarding the world issues that surrounds you.  Also , I learned some listening skills before and while listening that I never cared about them before , later , I found them very helpful. In addition , I knew more about speed reading which I knew before but  never considered trying to learn it , now , I really would like to learn it. Also , I now know how to create a blog and use it which I found it interesting and a new experience. Thanks for teacher Waseem who we learned from . This week was a great week . I hope the next weeks would be the same or better.

Globalization And Its Real Purposes

We hear the word "globalization" over and over . It's a controversial subject . Globalization has   spanked one of the most highly charged debates of the past decades. Some people argue that globalization is the perfect system for this world and a result of human evolution. A lot of people , including me , believe that this so- called globalization has many other purposes different from globalizing

To know the real purposes of globalization, we must know what globalization really means ? There is a lot of definitions for globalization . This is because of the confusion of the word's meaning . Another reason is the different viewpoints of researchists . The economists have their own definition which is very different from the politicians' , also the sociologists' . Thus their definitions of globalization are divided into three types: An economic phenomenon , an American dominance , and a technological and social revolution

Globalization is supposed to reflect internationalism ,  mixture of cultures  ,interchanging information and knowledge , … etc . These may have actualized  in an almost remarkable  way .However, at the same time , it caused the losing of identity. The so-called globalization is deleting nations' privacy , costumes , and values . It  emphasizes selfishness and forsaking every matter . Therefore, this causes the losing of  belonging to a country ! Globalization is a world without countries . It's the world of  institutions

The dangers of globalization , economically , First , 20% of world countries possess 85% of world's savings . Second, An American dominance on world's economy by  terminating the control of a country on its own economy . Therefore , the country  becomes under the mercy of International Monetary Fund. In addition , one of the  dangers of globalization  , socially, spread material culture and consumer culture

Proponents of globalization with all its disadvantages claim that "for the first time ever , number of poor people is declining everywhere " . Let's dig deeper and see  .. if one  sticks to the 1981-2008 period , China is the key ; Between 1981-2008 the entire drop  in the number of people living in extreme poverty , those who live below 1 $ a day ,  is accounted for by China – where the number of extreme poor fell by 662 millions . Over this period , the number of people living below 1 $ a day outside China actually rose sharply throughout this period. The gab between rich and poor has indeed become more glaring in recent decades

Also proponents of globalization with all its disadvantages claim that "globalization is the extract of eastern and western civilizations and cultures" . While globalization has  risen from the west and has a western nature ! The purpose of it is to generalize its notions , values , culture , .. etc under the mask of "internationalism" . Globalization  is a new form of colonization but this time it's not colonizing of land , it's colonizing of conscience

In conclusion , globalization is an inevitable phenomenon which we should all be aware of . I'm not an opponent of technology or internationalism . I'm just saying that globalization has more meanings and purposes under its veil. Globalization has a lot of  important advantages , no one can deny that . Nevertheless, there are tens of  disadvantages and dangers economically , culturally , and civilizationally.

Fleeing Memories !

..

Beautiful lyrics , touching
What a poem !

One of us may reach this point one day .. who knows?1

Chasing memories, trying to hold it back from fleeing but it's only like a flowing water and you can't catch water !

One day when your body shows age effect , your memories just leave gradually .
Hopelessly , you stand waiting for it to leave you empty and lifeless but you still breathing!

Making remembrance and retrospection is an impossible dream in that very moment
Yearning for the feelings of the laugh, desire, and hope

Memories leave first with resistance
Then, soul leaves peacefully.
